November 6 @ 10:15 am - 1:30 pm

Join us for a special Veterans Day Celebration featuring Chuck Rotenberry, a highly decorated former US Marine master dog handler and trainer. Chuck served multiple deployments during the post-9/11 wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, ultimately suffering a traumatic brain injury (TBI) from an IED blast in 2011.

Today, Chuck continues his mission, dedicating his time to training elite dogs for government service, including for the Secret Service, and serving as the Vice President of the US War Dogs Association. Come hear his inspiring story of service, healing, and the powerful, unbreakable bond between humans and working dogs.

Chuck will be appearing with his wife, Elizabeth Rotenberry. Elizabeth is a dedicated military wife, mom of four, and a caregiver to an injured veteran. She also serves as the Director of Caregiver Engagement for the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, sharing a vital perspective on the veteran experience.

Lunch will be provided by Rolling Grill Pit Beef & Catering.

Event Schedule:

  • 10:15–11:00 am: Veterans Memorial Concert in the Lounge, featuring Yoon-Mee Chong (violin) and Ka Nyoung Yoo (piano).
  • 11:30 am–1:30 pm: Guest Speakers and Luncheon in the Gym, including Chuck and Elizabeth Rotenberry, and a Choral Presentation by the Heart of Maryland Chorus.

The event is free for veterans and $10 for others. Advance registration required.
