Bykota Wood Shop
One of the busiest creative spaces at Bykota is our fully equipped Wood Shop, located on the second floor in Rooms 201β203. Here, members use professional-grade woodworking machinesβtable saws, bandsaws, lathes, sanders, and moreβto bring their ideas to life. From simple cutting boards to finely crafted cabinets, the projects that emerge from this shop showcase both skill and imagination.
Some members build their entire projects here, while others use the space when their work requires specialized tools or large-format equipment. Either way, the Wood Shop is a place where craftsmanship flourishes.
Safety First:
Because of the powerful equipment in use, safety is always the top priority. At least two members must be present when large machines are operated, and one must be qualified and experienced in their use. Shop managers ensure that proper procedures are followed at all times.
Before You Begin:
All new users must first meet with Shop Manager Abe Goldstein for an orientation. Heβll give you a tour, review your experience and goals, and go over the safety rules. His approval is required before beginning any project.
