Baltimore County Fire Chief Lends a Voice to Our Carolers!
A huge thank you to Chief Joe Dixon of the Baltimore County Fire Department for visiting Bykota on Stage caroling rehearsals! Chief Dixon, whom we met on No Senior Eats Alone Day, is quite dynamic and personable. He’s been joining us for a few minutes to lend support before we sing at the December 3rd tree trimming party!
Billiards Team Takes Gold and Silver at the Maryland Senior Olympics!
Congratulations to our incredible Billiards Team! On October 4-5, they brought home an amazing three Gold and four Silver medals from the 2025 Maryland Senior Olympics. What a performance!
Crab Feast 2025
The 7th Annual Crab Feast opened to a sell-out crowd. There were a lot of happy people, great music and great food.
No Senior Eats Alone 2025
On September 11, Bykota joined other senior centers in celebrating the 7th annual No Senior Eats Alone Day. It was a lot of fun, with good food, good company and good music. If you didn’t come this year, think about joining us next year.
Pickleball Pals Night Out
A group of Bykota pickleball players recently met for dinner at the Red Pepper, sharing delicious food, lively conversation, and plenty of laughs. It was a wonderful reminder that the friendships built at Bykota extend well beyond the center’s walls.
Bykota 75ers Take Gold at the 2025 Senior Olympics
This summer, the Bykota 75ers made a thrilling comeback at the 2025 National Senior Games in Des Moines. After opening with tough losses—including a blowout by North Carolina—the team battled back to take the gold. In spite of injuries and early setbacks, the team relied on grit and teamwork to turn the tournament around. They are already looking ahead to regional tournaments and to the 2027 Senior Games in Tulsa.
